The ultimate flex, a dream come true—we all know what it means to unbox a Karambit. Even if you don’t like its looks, there’s no denying that they’re some of the most valuable knives in the game! Whether you’re actively hunting for a Karambit or you’re just curious which cases can drop it, this guide will help you out: we’ve put together a list of all Karambit cases in CS2, along with tips and some additional information. Let’s dive right in!
Contents
Gamma & Gamma 2 Cases
Both the Gamma Case and Gamma 2 Case have the same selection of Karambits, including (click to enlarge):

Any of these skins would be an epic win, but Karambit | Gamma Doppler is by far the most valuable one. The super-rare Emerald patterns can reach prices exceeding $20k, especially in low float, making them some of the most expensive knives in CS2.

Other Skins in the Cases
These cases also contain the same skins for the M9 Bayonet, Flip Knife, Bayonet, and Gut Knife, along with a couple of interesting firearm skins. The Gamma Case can also drop M4A4 | Desolate Space, while Gamma 2 contains, among others, the AK-47 skin Neon Revolution. While not particularly valuable, they’d make fun additions to any inventory.
Case Prices
At the time of writing, both Gamma and Gamma 2 cases are widely available and cost around $3.60 each. However, keys are more scarce and more expensive, currently coming in at $18 or so on Steam Community Market.
Considering that, besides knives, they don’t contain any valuable skins, the Gamma cases are not the most budget-friendly option if you’re actively trying to unbox a Karambit. Still, a viable choice if you’re into the other skins they contain as well!
Chroma, Chroma 2 & Chroma 3 Cases
In the Chroma case series, you’ll find the following Karambit skins:

The Doppler steals the show here, especially if you happen upon one of the rare Phases (pattern groups). In general, Doppler skins mix several colors, but some exceedingly rare patterns are single-color only—these fetch the most impressive prices. The all-blue Sapphire and the Black Pearl, in particular, are regularly sold for over $18k.

Damascus Steel is an interesting skin, too, if you like realistic-looking skins. Marble Fade offers a colorful alternative.
Other Skins in the Cases
The other knife types you can score from this case include M9 Bayonet, Bayonet, Flip Knife, and Gut Knife, with the same finishes as for the Karambit. In Chroma 2, you’ll also find the iconic M4A1-S | Hyper Beast ($20–$165), among other skins. In Chroma, Galil AR | Chatterbox stands out the most: it’s a yellow CS2 skin with a skull that appears to chatter when you shoot, thanks to the teeth being placed on the dust cover.
Case Prices
The Chroma cases cost $3.50 or so on Steam, with key listings averaging around $13. Few skins in these cases have a high value (apart from the knives, of course), so the return won’t be spectacular, but hey, who knows—those Karambits are definitely in there somewhere!
Other Karambit Cases
Of course, there’s more! Here are the other cases that contain Karambits:
- CS:GO Weapon Case
- CS:GO Weapon Case 2
- CS:GO Weapon Case 3
- Revolver Case
- Operation Bravo Case
- Operation Vanguard Weapon Case
- Operation Phoenix Weapon Case
- Winter Offensive Weapon Case
- eSports 2013 Case
- eSports 2013 Winter Case
- eSports 2014 Summer Case
They all have the same set of Karambit skins, so it made sense to group them together on our list. Here are the Karambits you’ll find in these cases:

Okay, let’s take a look! First up, Case Hardened. This skin usually costs around $1400 for most patterns, but much, much more if you happen upon a rare Blue Gem. In fact, a certain Blue Gem Karambit is the most expensive skin in the world, valued at over $1.5 million.
Naturally, the chances of landing one of those $1m+ skins are slim to say the least, but it’s… not entirely impossible, I suppose!
Fade is another skin that draws attention in this lineup, with the distinctive yellow, pink, and blue gradient. Karambit | Fade skins with the so-called Full Fade, so with the full spectrum of colors with no gray areas, can cost $10k and more.
Case Prices and Other Skins
Just like with all of the other cases on this list, these can also contain the same finishes for the M9 Bayonet, Bayonet, Flip Knife, and Gut Knife. As usual, the M9 Bayonet skins are among the most valuable ones, while the Gut Knife closes the ranking with some of the lowest prices.
Here’s a breakdown of the current (Q1 2025) prices of these Karambit cases and their keys, along with any additional information and content highlights:
CS:GO Weapon Case
Price: $130, Key: $8 (CS:GO Case Key)
It’s one of the most expensive cases around, due to a combination of several reasons. It’s the first-ever case to be introduced into the game, and its supply is rather scarce—it hasn’t been in any active drop pool for a while, making it a rare find and something of a collector’s item.
Plus, its contents can be pretty valuable: most of the skins and knives in this case are valued at over $100, including classics like the AWP | Lightning Strike and the AK-47 | Case Hardened. The Blue Gem Case Hardened for the AK can be worth seriously big bucks. Like, 6-figure big.
CS:GO Weapon Case 2
Price: $13.30, Key: $8 (CS:GO Case Key)
Much cheaper, but also with fewer valuable skins. The priciest skin, apart from the knives, is SSG 08 | Blood in the Water ($60–$80).
CS:GO Weapon Case 3
Price: $7.70, Key: $8 (CS:GO Case Key)
Most of the skins in this case are rather common and low-value. The most expensive non-knife skin is P250 | Undertow, which sells for around $40.
Revolver Case
Price: $3, Key: $12 (Revolver Case Key)
This inexpensive case also contains the Royal Paladin, an elegant and detailed M4A4 skin. Its prices reach around $100, but only for the lowest float values.
Operation Bravo Case
Price: $55, Key: $8 (CS:GO Case Key)
Now, this one’s interesting! It has a relatively high price, but also contains some sweet skins, including the AK-47 | Fire Serpent ($700–$1900), P2000 | Ocean Foam ($170), and AWP | Graphite ($170).
Note that this case doesn’t have its own key. Instead, you can open the Operation Bravo Case with the CS:GO Case Key.
Operation Vanguard Weapon Case
Price: $4.20, Key: $11 (Operation Vanguard Case Key)
The rugged AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel stands out the most in this case, with its worn-out, gritty aesthetic and decent value ($30–$280).
Operation Phoenix Weapon Case
Price: $5, Key: $11 (Operation Phoenix Case Key)
No contest here: the AWP | Asiimov is by far the most distinctive firearm skin in this case, and it’s worth between $100 and $175, depending on float. Note that AWP | Assimov skins with the highest float can be surprisingly expensive—some players value them for the all-black scope (hence the nickname “Blackiimov”).
Winter Offensive Weapon Case
Price: $8.20, Key: $10 (Winter Offensive Case Key)
Another Asiimov catches the eye the most in this case, this time for the M4A4—worth between $90 and $180.
eSports 2013 Case
Price: $57, Key: $18 (eSports Key)
This is one of the older cases in this lineup, and therefore it’s relatively rare—it’s been a while since it was part of any active drop. In terms of the value of its contents, there’s not much to highlight here—other than the knives, you may want to take a look at the AWP | BOOM, a comic book skin worth around $140.
eSports 2013 Winter Case
Price: $9.50, Key: $18 (eSports Key)
The highest-value skin, other than the knives, in this case is Desert Eagle | Cobalt Disruption, worth around $90. So, with this case price, unless you get lucky and land a knife or this Deagle, you could have a hard time getting a decent ROI.
eSports 2014 Summer Case
Price: $10, Key: $18 (eSports Key)
One item you can’t miss in this one is the AK-47 | Jaguar, an iconic skin worth between $50 and $300 or so. The Desert Eagle | Crimson Web ($15–$130) is another interesting skin in this case, but whether these and the knives are worth the $28 investment, you’ll have to judge for yourself!
Best CS2 Karambit Cases to Open
Let’s be honest: there’s no “best Karambit cases”, otherwise everyone would be opening the same ones. However, some cases make more sense than others if getting a Karambit is among your primary goals.
First, let’s get one thing straight: in general, more expensive CS2 cases don’t offer better chances for specific high-value items. Instead, their prices tend to depend on their availability and the value of the potential drop.
In other words, you have more or less the same chance at getting a Karambit from the $3 Revolver Case as you do from the $130 CS:GO Weapon Case. Broadly speaking, then, if a Karambit is all you’re after, it would make sense to go for the cheapest available cases to open as many as possible, rather than opening one expensive case. Remember to factor in the price of the keys!
So, one strategy is to pick the Karambit skin you want, set your budget, and get multiple cheap cases that contain your chosen skin. (Although “strategy” is a strong word to use here, as at the end of the day, it’s all based on chance.)
Alternatively, you could take a look through the contents of every Karambit case and see what other skins interest you. Pick a case, or cases, that have the highest number of skins you want—this way, you’re not just burning through your budget to get one Karambit, but you’re building your collection and getting other skins you like in the process.
Karambit Cases on Key-Drop
Let’s be real, the odds with CS2 Karambit cases aren’t in your favor. With high case prices and low drop rates for knives, it can be a tough road to scoring your dream Karambit. That’s where Key-Drop comes in as an alternative worth considering.
Key-Drop offers tons of themed cases that not only include Karambit skins, but also give you a better chance of getting other valuable items. Unlike standard CS2 cases, Key-Drop cases are designed to provide more bang for your buck, with a higher return on investment (ROI) and more exciting rewards. Whether you’re looking for top-tier knife skins or other high-value cosmetics, Key-Drop cases often pack more variety and better odds, letting you build your inventory faster.
Plus, the opening experience on Key-Drop is quick, easy, and packed with features like Case Battles and upgrades to keep things exciting.
